Have been wanting to share this special project for awhile now 💜 🏥 🌈 so here we go! PenBay Hospital in Rockport, ME wanted three murals created in their newly renovated emergency psychiatric waiting rooms to bring nature, Art, and its healing properties into the hospital. This one was tough as there were firm rules about what the imagery could be in regards to psychiatric health and a short window to get the design approved and the painting complete. Using the community we were able to foster with the Here Is Magic Mural at Waterfall Arts nine artists joined forces to make this project a reality in 2 weeks! I am so impressed with our Artists ability to use what they learned from their Waterfall Arts experience and jump right in to create three murals that seamlessly blend nine sets of hands- This meant putting away their egos and focusing on the outcome of the project. Wow! Could not be more impressed with our Artists Heidi Reader, Ashley Megquier, Liz Moore, Liz Kalloch, Annadeene Flowler, Christina Barstow, and Sam Maheu as they joined @amy_tingle_artist and myself to continue the Magic of community and collaboration! All Artists were compensated equally for their work here as we continue to support Artists being properly compensated for their part in making the world more healthy and beautiful! And also, a huge thank you to PenBay Hospital and their commitment to using Art as another healing tool in their facility.
